Monday morning

Monday morning, can’t ignore…

Grunts and groans,
creaks and moans,
Gritty eyes, aching bones.

Starving cat, coffee “stat,”
believe me, I need that.

Call to nature, Must obey.
Honestly, I can’t delay

Stumbling feet, pills to take
Water o’er head, helps to awake

Feed the Pat, sooner he states!
Serve him now, mustn’t wait.

Starvation quelled, coffee in hand
Out to greet the sweltering land.
